Key features
  1. Newly Molded Armour for Enhanced Detail: The High Grade model kit of the Gundam Gremory features newly molded parts for its outer armor pieces, ensuring that builders can recreate the mobile suit with enhanced detail and accuracy. This attention to detail allows fans to appreciate the unique design of the Gundam Gremory as seen in the "Gekko" series.
  2. Battle Anchor Pole Arm Weapon: The kit includes the Gundam Gremory's signature main armament, the Battle Anchor. This weapon is wielded as a pole arm type weapon, adding versatility to the model's poseability and playability. The Battle Anchor's blade has a distinctive look, with half of it appearing as a hook due to damage sustained during the Calamity War, adding to the model's uniqueness.
  3. Convertible Head Piece: A notable gimmick of this High Grade model kit is the convertible head piece. Builders can choose to reveal the hidden head unit of the Gundam Gremory, allowing them to switch between the mobile suit's concealed and revealed head configurations. This feature adds an element of customization and display options for those assembling the kit, making it an attractive choice for collectors and enthusiasts of the Gundam Iron-Blooded Orphans universe.

Assembly Guide

Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Gundam series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Gundam kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the "Post Disaster" timeline?

Q: What is the "Post Disaster" timeline? A: The "Post Disaster" timeline is the setting for "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans." It begins 300 years after the great Calamity War where mobile suits, notably Gundams, played a pivotal role. This era is characterized by a fragile peace maintained by economic blocs and the influence of Mars' independence movement

Who are the main protagonists in the "Post Disaster" series?

"Iron-Blooded Orphans" follows the members of Tekkadan, a group of child soldiers led by Mikazuki Augus and Orga Itsuka. They take on a mission to escort Kudelia Aina Bernstein, a Martian independence activist, to Earth, facing multiple challenges from powerful adversaries along the way.

What are the Alaya-Vijnana System and its significance?

The Alaya-Vijnana System is a surgical procedure that connects a pilot's nervous system to their mobile suit, granting enhanced reflexes and machine control. However, it's controversial due to its high risk and its use mainly on child soldiers, like Mikazuki.

How does "Iron-Blooded Orphans" differ from other Gundam series?

"Iron-Blooded Orphans" is distinct for its darker tones, focusing on the consequences of child soldiers, economic disparities, and the impact of war. While it retains the mecha battles characteristic of Gundam series, its narrative prioritizes character development and political intrigue.

Are there any notable mobile suits from the "Post Disaster" timeline?

Absolutely. The series features several iconic mobile suits, with the most notable being the Gundam Barbatos, piloted by Mikazuki. This Gundam, with its multiple forms and upgrades, becomes symbolic of Tekkadan's journey.
