Key features
  1. Unique Design Aesthetics: The Gundam Hajiroboshi presents a more rugged and armored appearance compared to many other Gundams in the "Iron-Blooded Orphans" series. It boasts a predominantly red and white colour scheme, with a visor-like face design that gives it a mysterious and aggressive look, differentiating it from the typical Gundam faceplates.
  2. Versatile Weaponry: The Gundam Hajiroboshi is equipped with a range of weapons tailored for both melee and ranged combat. The primary weapon, the "Hajiroboshi Hammer," is a massive mace-like weapon capable of delivering devastating blows. Additionally, the mobile suit also features a handheld rifle for ranged attacks and combat knives stored in its side skirts for close-quarter battles.
  3. Advanced Mobility and Defense: Despite its heavy armor, the Gundam Hajiroboshi has been designed for agile combat movements. It features thick leg armor that not only offers protection but also houses thrusters for enhanced mobility. Moreover, the large shoulder and chest armor not only add to its defensive capabilities but also contribute to its distinct, bulky silhouette.

The Bandai 1/144 HGIBO Gundam Hajiroboshi offers Gunpla enthusiasts a unique design infused with the raw combat aesthetics of the "Iron-Blooded Orphans" universe. Its combination of distinctive design, varied weaponry, and advanced mobility ensures it stands out in any collection

Assembly Guide

Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Gundam series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Gundam kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is the "Post Disaster" timeline?

Q: What is the "Post Disaster" timeline? A: The "Post Disaster" timeline is the setting for "Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans." It begins 300 years after the great Calamity War where mobile suits, notably Gundams, played a pivotal role. This era is characterized by a fragile peace maintained by economic blocs and the influence of Mars' independence movement

Who are the main protagonists in the "Post Disaster" series?

"Iron-Blooded Orphans" follows the members of Tekkadan, a group of child soldiers led by Mikazuki Augus and Orga Itsuka. They take on a mission to escort Kudelia Aina Bernstein, a Martian independence activist, to Earth, facing multiple challenges from powerful adversaries along the way.

What are the Alaya-Vijnana System and its significance?

The Alaya-Vijnana System is a surgical procedure that connects a pilot's nervous system to their mobile suit, granting enhanced reflexes and machine control. However, it's controversial due to its high risk and its use mainly on child soldiers, like Mikazuki.

How does "Iron-Blooded Orphans" differ from other Gundam series?

"Iron-Blooded Orphans" is distinct for its darker tones, focusing on the consequences of child soldiers, economic disparities, and the impact of war. While it retains the mecha battles characteristic of Gundam series, its narrative prioritizes character development and political intrigue.

Are there any notable mobile suits from the "Post Disaster" timeline?

Absolutely. The series features several iconic mobile suits, with the most notable being the Gundam Barbatos, piloted by Mikazuki. This Gundam, with its multiple forms and upgrades, becomes symbolic of Tekkadan's journey.
