Key features
  1. Transformable Hover Mode: A pivotal feature of the Gundam Kimaris Trooper is its ability to transition into a hover mode, making it adept for rapid ground combat scenarios. This transformation feature, adapted in the model kit, allows enthusiasts to switch between the mobile suit's upright stance and its sleek, skimming mode, broadening the display and diorama possibilities.
  2. Diverse Combat Arsenal: The Kimaris Trooper, staying true to its knight-inspired origins, carries the iconic "Destroyer Lance." This weapon, combined with its shield and side-mounted slash blades, equips the mobile suit for close-quarters combat, and the model kit replicates these armaments in exquisite detail. This diverse set of weapons allows for a wide range of dynamic posing options.
  3. Intricately Designed Inner Frame: Consistent with the 1/100 series from "Iron-Blooded Orphans", the Gundam Kimaris Trooper showcases an elaborate inner frame structure. This detailed framework not only provides the model with robustness and advanced articulation but also offers builders a closer look at the mechanical intricacies of the Gundam, enriching the assembly experience.

In summation, the Bandai 1/100 Gundam Kimaris Trooper stands as a harmonious blend of traditional knight-like aesthetics and futuristic combat design. Its transformable feature, coupled with its combat arsenal and detailed inner structure, makes it a unique and captivating addition to any Gunpla collection.

    Assembly Guide

Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Gundam series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Gundam kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

    Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between the "Full Mechanics" line and the traditional Master Grade (MG) series for "Iron-Blooded Orphans"?

The "Full Mechanics" line is a unique category specific to "Iron-Blooded Orphans" that sits between the High Grade (HG) and Master Grade (MG) in terms of detail and complexity. While it's 1/100 scale like MG, it doesn't offer the same intricate inner frame details that MG kits typically boast. However, "Full Mechanics" kits still provide a detailed build experience, highlighting the unique mobile suit designs of the IBO series.

I've seen the Barbatos in various forms. Is it available in both "Full Mechanics" and Master Grade?

Yes, Barbatos, one of the signature mobile suits from the IBO series, has been made available in the "Full Mechanics" line showcasing its various iterations. Moreover, there's an MG version, the MG Barbatos, which provides an even more detailed and articulate representation of this iconic mobile suit.

Considering the design differences, which is more beginner-friendly: "Full Mechanics" or Master Grade from the IBO series?

If you're a beginner, the "Full Mechanics" line might be a more approachable starting point. While it offers a good level of detail, it doesn't delve into the intricacies and complexities that Master Grade kits can present. However, if you're up for a challenge and want a deep dive into Gunpla building, the MG kits are an excellent choice.

Are the accessories and weapons from the anime series accurately represented in both the "Full Mechanics" and MG kits?

Absolutely! Both lines pride themselves on capturing the essence of the "Iron-Blooded Orphans" series. You'll find weapons, armaments, and accessories true to the anime, ensuring your model accurately reflects its on-screen counterpart.

Do I need specialized tools or additional purchases for the decals and detailing on these kits?

Both "Full Mechanics" and Master Grade kits come with stickers or decals for detailing, and you'll achieve the best results using a pair of nippers and perhaps a hobby knife for clean part separation. For those who wish to delve deeper into detailing, panel lining pens and top coat sprays can enhance the final look, but these are optional.
