Key features
  1. Imposing Armor and Weaponry: The most striking feature of the Fullarmor Gundam 7th is undoubtedly its heavy armor, which bulks up the iconic Gundam design significantly. This thick layer of plating not only adds visual weight and intimidation factor but also enhances its defensive capabilities in the lore. The kit accurately captures this imposing presence, featuring numerous armor parts that snap together to form the complete suit.
  2. Articulation and Posability: Despite the bulky armor, the HGUC Fullarmor Gundam 7th maintains a surprising degree of articulation. The kit utilizes polycap joints at key points, allowing you to recreate various dynamic poses from the source material. This flexibility lets you showcase the suit's impressive weaponry, which includes beam rifles, hyper bazookas, and even a beam saber stored in its backpack.
  3. Color Accuracy and Stickers: The HGUC Fullarmor Gundam 7th comes molded in a variety of plastic colors, approximating the suit's color scheme from the game. However, for a truly accurate representation, the kit includes numerous stickers that you can apply to add details and markings. While some may prefer pre-painted options, the stickers allow for customization and a sense of accomplishment upon completion.

Assembly Guide

Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Gundam series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Gundam kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this model easy for beginners?

While the HGUC line is generally beginner-friendly, the Fullarmor Gundam 7th's large number of parts and complex armor pieces can be challenging for absolute newcomers. Some experience with model kits is recommended, especially for younger builders.

Is the articulation good despite the heavy armor?

The Fullarmor Gundam 7th maintains decent articulation thanks to polycap joints in the shoulders, elbows, knees, and hips. However, the extensive armor can limit some poses and weapon handling.

Does the kit come pre-colored, or does it need painting?

The Fullarmor Gundam 7th features color-molded plastic parts, so painting is not necessary for a basic look. However, experienced modelers can achieve a more detailed and realistic finish with additional paint and weathering techniques.

What weapons and accessories are included?

The standard kit comes with the iconic beam rifle, a long-range beam cannon, a beam saber, and a shield. Some versions might include additional weapons or accessories like a beam pistol or spare hands.

How big is the finished model?

The completed Fullarmor Gundam 7th stands at around 6 inches tall, making it a substantial addition to any model collection. Be sure you have enough display space for this imposing mobile suit!
