Sons birthday gift

The item arrived within a week with assembly tool and picture card. I was most impressed with speed of dispatch and delivery.

This update to the classic GM is an amazing kit!
The new gimmicks are all fantastic and add to the classic GM seamlessly due to its fantastic engineering.
It’s a very solid build and even looks good as a straight build.
The marking stickers are comprehensive.

Fantastic but painful

This kit is a fantastic looking kit when fully built and isn't all that annoying to build, except the cape. The cape on this kit was such a disappointment that it bumped it down to 4/5 stars for me.

The V on the head did snap in half but the cape was much more annoying than a broken yellow V.

Not the biggest fan. The ultra fine line panel liner is significantly better.
Both the black and grey one look streaky on the model. It looks like the tip is getting damaged when I use it on the edges to panel line. Even after many days the ink wipes off at the slightest touch.

Not totally sure how to use it yet. But its blue and it paints great. Be careful shaking it.

Perfect for panel lining. Works a treat.

Likes: speed of shipping, fun kit despite the pain
This man stabbed me with my own hobby knife, would buy again

Very fun kit to assemble despite a particularly painful mishap involving my hobby knife and the feet - they're a little wibbly with the axles, but once you get them in it's fun it's good. This kit is very flexible and comes with more than a few weapons to pose it with - wish the manual was a little clearer about what parts are which though - there appears to be a mistake in the head step where it wants you to put the peg-type head parts together with the other type (which don't fit.)

Shipping experience was great too - selected regular post, got this and another kit literally two days later. Overall 10/10, would get stabbed again 👍

Pretty damn cool. Gun is fun- get the raibot armor kit too.

A bit basic and I wish there was an option to have the little waist claws to be either both extended or both not. Still fun.

Pretty cool. Guns are nice. Wish axe had some more colour

Now- the only painful thing about this was the stickers. But that’s to everyone expected. Other than that- it’s damn awesome. And the colours too… 2nd favourite of my collection

For someone starting 30 minute missions- I reckon this is a great kit to begin with.

Only the gun and the missiles appeal to me. But for this price- there’s no issue. Great for people getting into 30 minute missions.

Fantastic HG kit

Fantastic colour separation and articulation and a nice, straightforward build. The highlight is definitely the effect parts, they give the wings and sword a beautiful look. The kit overall has a strong shelf presence due to its width and sword. Really good kit, recommended for all builders of all skill levels.

It’s a knife and it came with 6 blades

Came in good condition and a great build

EG Strike Ex.Gal

When I saw this kit go up, I wanted it. Not just another EG but a Buld EG. The clear neon orange really stands out and the fact it has multiple points to mount stuff is awesome. Same with the little fighter that’s like a trained eagle….makes want to order more and build a team of Ex.Gals.

Heavyarms Clear

My second of my G-Team Clear and just like Sandrock, looks awesome in clear pla. Bit weird seeing through the missile pods on the legs so I might buy a regular to mix up the clear coloured parts. Still, glad to have snagged it when I could.

Has Grandpa ever looked this good?

Only my third kit so far, and it felt like a much more complex and difficult kit than Aerial and Barbatos (my other two so far). The articulation and posing you get at the other end, however, is astounding. Colour separation is good, with the only sticker being for the eyes. Between this anniversary kit and The Origin kit, the classic RX-78-02 looks as good as it ever has.

Comments: Beads. So many beads...

I never want to see another bead again

Char's Zaku is a classic suit, and alongside the RX 78-2 it's kits are often the benchmark for how a grade will be, and this kit is no different. Beautifully constructed with a lot of detail in places that really showcase all the small details the anime producers put into their main antagonists classic suit. Posable as all get out, and beautifuly realised, this suit is destined for the dioramas of fights against rivals.

However if I see another damn bead in my entire life I think I'm going to scream.

The pipes around the legs, waist and head, aren't one solid unit as they were in other grades of this kit I've put together, instead the head and the waist ones are plastic wires you thread individual beads onto to create the pipes. Many, many beads. You then cut the wire to size (to their credit it has a helpful indent where you're meant to cut) and gently place it into the kit while desperately trying to hold back the beads from their desire to fall off. Even that pales in comparison to the legs, which is one of the first parts you build. The leg pipes are in fact SPRINGS, meaning you're dealing with a wobbly spring instead of relatively sturdy plastic wires. This culimnates in having to stretch out the spring to put the final piece on which locks the beads in place, a fiddly task that can stretch the string out and cause to much slack to be created.

The kit is beautiful, and it's bound to be a highlight of your collection, but those beads will make or break you.

Fragile legs and a flimsy sword are the main issues that spoil an otherwise amazing looking kit

The GN cables are a bit finicky to put in properly but once you do it looks absolutely incredible. Small sticker decals are also a bit of a hassle but once fully put together the kit genuinely looks amazing and will be one of the highlights of many people's collections. I do wish the sword was a bit more substantial though, as is it looks too much like a toy.
