Your time is valuable, you don’t want to be searching endlessly for that next box of plastic happiness and I get it. That's why I built Gundam Express Australia from the ground up midway through 2019, to focus almost exclusively on supplying Gundam model kits for builders just like you throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Gundam model kits have been around since the 80's and their design has come a long way. Today’s Gundam kits feature no glue - snap together assembly, pre-coloured, and have an astonishing level of detail to them. Making building them an awesome and satisfying experience. Building Gundam is suitable for any age from pre-schoolers to retirees and everyone in between.

Talking with our customers and the local Brisbane community, I discovered a history of Gundam supply shortages. Gundam builders couldn't get what they wanted when they wanted, they were sometimes left frustrated and unhappy. This is when I learnt more about the emotion and passion behind building Gundam. It is not “just” a hobby that brings happiness and a sense of accomplishment to the builder. There are other more deeper benefits, mental health benefits, social benefits, community benefits and even peace of mind for the builder’s family.

I realised for Gundam Express Australia to be different from what was already on offer I couldn't just rely on the one Australian supplier to satisfy the appetites of Gundam builders throughout AUS/NZ. I knew I had to travel to Japan and meet with wholesalers and develop new partnerships to bring more Gundam home. I also knew we had to be Fast in everything else we do. Our order processing, packing, dispatch, and delivery to your door all need to be fast. Your questions all answered fast.

By 2022, we had survived a Global Pandemic and all the challenges that it brought with it. Our journey has only just begun, and we hope that you choose to join us.

That's a little of our back story and what still motivates me and the team every day at Gundam Express Australia.
