Kotobukiya Megami Device Kanagata Sugum (Ga-shin) (Alice Gear Aegis) (Reissue)

If you want to take you anime model building to the next level take a look a the Megami Device range of kits. These are all true masterpieces and not only are magnificent to build but are amazing to pose and display. OMG, they are so worth every cent!

Kanagata Sugumi (Ga-shin) is the latest collaboration between Kotobukiya's "Megami Device" mecha-girl figure-kit lineup and the popular social game "Alice Gear Aegis"! She stands 180mm tall when completed.

She's molded in colour so paint isn't necessary; she comes with three interchangeable facial expressions, and her new costume has movable side skirts for smooth posing.

Her massive "Magnum Ops" weapon incorporates a transformation and combination mechanism, and it can be displayed in any of three forms! She's also armed with a rifle, a one-handed sword, and other weapons. She can also be displayed without any armour or weapons if you prefer.

Because her gear is equipped with 3mm-diameter ports, she can use armor and weapons from the M.S.G, Frame Arms, Frame Arms Girl, Hexa Gear, Sosai Shojo Teien and Arcanadia series too!

Decals for eyes and markings are also included, as is a base for display.

    Assembly Guide

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Gundam series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Gundam kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How different is this "Ga-shin" version from the regular Kanagata Sugumi?

The Ga-shin version offers a complete redesign of Sugumi's armor and gear, inspired by her upgraded form in the Alice Gear Aegis game. The changes include a sleeker black and pink color scheme, intricate new armor parts, and larger "Magnum Ops" weaponry. Think of it as a powerful and stylish upgrade!

Does she come pre-painted, or do I need to paint her myself?

Most versions offer both pre-painted and unpainted options. The pre-painted version showcases the vibrant details of her new armor beautifully, making it perfect for display right out of the box. The unpainted version allows you to unleash your inner artist and personalize her with custom colors and weathering effects.

Is she poseable enough to recreate her action scenes from the game?

Absolutely! Thanks to the Megami Device ball-jointed system, Sugumi (Ga-shin) boasts excellent articulation. You can pose her wielding her massive "Magnum Ops" weapon, kneeling strategically, or even riding the weapon in its transformed mode. Get ready to bring her dynamic in-game moves to your shelf!

What kind of weapons and accessories does she include?

The "Magnum Ops" weapon takes center stage, transforming from a heavy cannon to a sword/gun combo and even a shield! She also comes with a rifle, a one-handed sword, and various hand options for holding different weapons. Some versions might include bonus parts or decals for customization.

Is she worth getting if I already have the regular Kanagata Sugumi?

That depends on your preferences. If you love the Ga-shin design and want a more action-oriented Sugumi, then absolutely! It's a fresh take on the character with new weapons and poseability. However, if you're happy with your original Sugumi or prefer a less combat-focused model, you might not need this one.
