Assembly Guide

Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Gundam series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Gundam kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

I don't know what they improved to be honest

This is an MG 3.0 model, meaning (at least as I understand it) that this is the third iteration of this gundam in this grade, however I kinda do not understand what they even did.

The hands while improved are incredible fragile and you're almost unable to use the first knuckle articulation point since trying to do so leads to the fingers coming out of their sockets despite the manual itself showing there's a hinge there. This leads to it becoming a hassle to pose or even have them hold their included weapons since they do not have the ability to bend around the handles properly. The shield especially does not have a proper connection to the forearm as in other builds, meaning it's only held up by the hand and a very slight connection point that wraps around the forearm and in my experience comes off with a slight breeze. The waist panels are held on by hope, as are the legs to their ball joints with them coming off multiple times during construction and transportation to the shelf.

The rest of the build is great, with a decent mix of large and small pieces to allow for a fun build experience (apart from the waist panels, but those are often a nightmare) and it looks fantastic when fully assembled and stickered up. Sadly the fragility of the legs and issues with posing the hands means this is another "set and forget" model kit, with you choosing one pose at construction then never wanting to tough it again just in case something breaks.

Real Grade detail in Master Grade size

As far as I'm aware, this Gundam is the only one with a 3.0 revision. Detail is incredible with varying in colours and indents for panel lining. Elbow joints can be difficult as you'd have to balance the parts together before finishing the internal structure. Articulation is nice with the exception of the elbows can be stiff at times.
Advisory, be careful when assembling the core fighter as sometimes the cockpit and fin won't attach to the body properly and too much stress will snap the thin plastic. Good choice to use either the core block or fighter as the internal cockpit but expect some minimal articulation in that area.
A good kit if you want that RG look in your MG form.
