Bandai Metal Structure Kaitai-Shou-ki MSN-04 Sazabi

Bandai's spectacular new model of the MSN-04 Sazabi from "Mobile Suit Gundam: Char's Counterattack" features overwhelming volume, precise modeling, and composite materials making up over 3,000 parts that can be enjoyed in various forms! Different textures reminiscent of the real thing are a hallmark of this figure; there are armor deployment gimmicks for each part, too, and a mechanism that gradually transforms. There's also a light-emitting gimmick built into the main figure's head camera and cockpit, as well as the base, to produce a feeling of overwhelming size!

The core concept of the METAL STRUCTURE line is the movable armour that can be displayed in various stages of assembly or disassembly. The unique structure of this figure allow you to display the mighty Sazabi in four different forms: its Normal form, the High Mobility form for more efficient cooling during battle, and the Open Hatch form for maintenance and development. It can also be displayed in its parked Full Maintenance Form with much of its inner structure revealed, complete with a maintenance gantry with multiple arms and maintenance crew figures! A pilot figure of Char Aznable is also included, as well as a figure of Nanai Miguel.

The Sazabi is fully armed as well, and would be the pinnacle of any "Gundam" collection. 

This unbelievably faithfully detailed composite material figure is comprised of several thousand parts, evoking the real materials used to make this mighty mobile suit. Opening armour parts and transformation systems are sure to please discriminating collectors. The stand and figure include illumination, enhancing both the sense of size and presence of the display.

Assembly Guide

SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED
Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.
No Cement Required

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

No Painting Required

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Gundam series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Gundam kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. Metal Structure Sazabi

Current holy grail for gundam collectors.
From box to figure, you would be in awe at the amazing details that this piece will let your senses on.
A heavy weight indeed, sheer size and presence, diecast/plastic with ratcheted joints. Although articulation is not its biggest strength (though still an improvement from nu) the mechanisms and details on it makes up for it. Head moves a little, shoulder movements are decent. Arms are good. Hand and the fingers are an improvement over the nu. Body movement *wiggles * yes it just wiggles.
Knee and ankle joint can be confusing to manipulate , i recommend watching YouTube reviews to help you with this.
Accessories includes shield, beam shotgun, funnels and tomahawk. Very detailed and has options for different ways to display.
Let down would be the beam saber effect - i am finding it too short.
The display base is another improvement over nu, bigger and wider because of more addon panels , the core piece is the same from nu.
Different ways to display the sazabi:
Regular - High Mobility - Maintenance mode (which has a high resemblance to nightingale)
Overall, this is the ultimate *centerpiece * form of Sazabi. Eye catching definitely.
*RG sazabi, IMO still is the most complete interpretation - Articulation, Presence and Value*

The End Game

Words cannot truly express how stunning this model is, -although I will give it my best. Starting from the box, we see that all necessary components have been packaged thoroughly with foam and plastic covers to ensure that the model is kept safe and unmoved during movement. And from taking it off from the box and actual assembly was a breeze, instructions are written in Japanese but due to nice pictures it is easily follow. The model itself weights a whopping almost 4kg! Due to its metal body it's joint a nice and rigid so parts can stay in place when posing. The team who designed this did not spare anything, the detailing alone is outstanding. The RG Sazabi was definitely something but this... This is not even on another level, this.. this is the end game. A MUST have for any Gundam enthusiast to own especially to match with the Nu Gundam equivalent. I would like to say a massive thank you to the GEA team for personally delivering this to the front of my door and highly recommend them for any of your Gundam needs.
