Bandai 1/60 PG RX-0 Unicorn Gundam (without LED)

This absolute unit of a model kit is every Gundam builders dream, words cannot describe how much fun I had in assembling this kit.
The detail, engineering and articulation present in this kit is just mind blowing. I would reccomend this in a heartbeat to anyone who's looking to buy their very first Perfect Grade kit.

The build experience of this kit is pretty streamlined thanks to Bandai's meticulous planning of parts. The instruction manual specifically tells you what runners you will be using in each specific segment so you won't need to a large workspace to layout all of the runners present in the kit. With the amount of plastic and thought put into this thing prepare yourself for hours of fun piecing this together.

After finishing the build the fun doesn't end there. Out of all the different grades of Unicorn that Bandai has released throughout the years, this is still the one with the most accurate transformation based on the show from Unicorn mode to Destroy mode and you'll see just how awesome this kit is.

The kit also comes with an optional sold separately LED unit that features Black Light LED's to make
The NT-D (Red clear parts) glow and it just cranks the awesomeness of this kit tenfold. While it is optional I do reccomend picking it up. Although one gripe I have regarding the LED unit is that it is pretty hard and will take alot of effort putting things in place but once you've successfully put everything together you will be rewarded with such a stunning Gundam display.

Overall this is such an amazing kit and although it has minor issues (as all model kits do) this is definitely worth your money and I highly reccomend picking up one

Strongly recommend for someone who would like to purchase their first PG model. Hence, this model still considers one of the best PG model of all time and must add in your gundam collection. It stands approximate 38-40cm in unchained and destroy mode. furthermore, it stands approximately 33-35cm in Unicorn mode (it really depends on which pose you decide to display him). Unlike MG, RG and HG, the texture and colour of this PG model is succinct and does not require further customisation (panel line, top coat or spray paint) to look extreme aesthetic. In terms of building, it requires a builder to remove complete nub marks (A basic nipper to cut rough parts, a sharp high quality to cut small deep parts, sanding element, a tweezer and knife blade) in order to fit in each building parts nicely. Hence, complete removals of nub marks not only helps later transformation easier and accessible but also maximise the firmness of every joints. The texture of internal Unicorn is very detailed and you will be constantly amazed while building despite the complications brought in the instruction manual. Furthermore, the complexity constantly challenges you in your building experience and requires your upmost attention to deduce which part fits the others such as which parts require moderate, high or low force insert. From assumption, building experience requires 30-40 hours for builders who would like to remove nub marks completely for every parts and finish building it. In term of posing, huge range of weapons and the hangar allows unicorn to display numerous poses and does not limit this Gundam aesthetic. However, the arm and shoulder joints need a bit further improvement as unicorn has a bit trouble while holding the beam and Bazooka to pose. Otherwise everything is well designed and hands down one of the best PG model. For this 2014 model, after 8 years the quality and texture still amazes me in comparison to other PG units released such as RX 78-2 unleashed, Unicorn perfectibility and final battle version in recent years.
