Assembly Guide

SKILL LEVEL REQUIRED
Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.
No Cement Required

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

No Painting Required

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Gundam series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Gundam kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Comments: This kit uses stickers for several parts that could quite easily have been molded plastic instead to its detriment, and while the practice of touching up box art models is understandable, in this case the art and product vary enough that it borders on deceptive advertising.

Likes: Everything that isn't listed as a flaw was of satisfactory standard for a HG.
Improvements: More accurate/less deceptive box art in regard to the claws. Less use of stickers for parts that could have easily been molded plastic instead.
Not reccomended for those without skill in painting their kits

This kit unfortunately may be the least satisfying HG I've assembled out of the 6 I've done so far. Issues include the toes and tail being stickers that are quite awkward to fit to the shape, and, contrary to the box art and display images above, the fingers and hands are a single piece, and entirely solid grey without the yellow claws it is shown with. I suspect these were compromises made to allow it and other Barbatos kits to use the same molds. For someone with a basic level of skill in painting kits, these are non-issues and it could be made to look quite good for a HG with relatively little effort and at an affordable price to boot. However, for a novice or beginner, this kit likely won't give good results with snapfit alone.
The foot design, spindly midsection, and weapons (Tail+Mace) also make it quite difficult to pose in a stable way without a base. This is really a result of the gundam's design and not a flaw in the kit itself, but something prospective buyers should be aware of nonetheless.
