Key features
  1. Menacing Presence and Bio-Mechanical Detail: Bardiel figures capture the Angel's terrifying stature with elongated limbs, sharp angles, and a looming A.T. Field generator. Sculpting should showcase the unique blend of organic flesh and exposed machinery, highlighting Bardiel's otherworldly design.

2. Articulation and Posing Potential: While not as agile as an Eva, Bardiel figures should offer some poseability in the arms, legs, and neck. This allows for recreating iconic poses like the positron rifle firing stance or menacing hunches that convey its aggressive nature.

3. Optional Accessories and Display Options: Look for figures that come with additional elements like interchangeable hands, the signature positron rifle, or even A.T. Field effect pieces. Stands or bases with adjustable posing options further enhance display potential and bring Bardiel's dynamic attacks to life.

Assembly Guide

Skill Level.2 Basic modeling skills are required. Parental supervision may be required for younger children. These kits are generally suitable for beginner builders. A basic set of modeling tools are required including nippers, hobby knife, sanding sticks/paper, file, and tweezers. No glue is needed for the general assembly. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Gundam series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Gundam kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

Frequently Asked Questions

How big is the Bardiel figure, and does it accurately capture the Angel's imposing presence from the anime?

The Bardiel figure typically stands around 15-18cm tall, depending on the specific manufacturer and scale. It's designed to convey Bardiel's menacing stature, featuring elongated limbs, sharp angles, and imposing features like the large A.T. Field generator on its head.

How accurate and detailed is the figure's sculpting, particularly for Bardiel's intricate bio-mechanical design?

A good Bardiel figure should showcase the Angel's unique blend of organic and mechanical elements with careful sculpting. Look for details like the textured skin, exposed musculature, and intricate machinery on its limbs and torso.

Can the figure be posed in dynamic ways to recreate scenes from the anime, or is it more of a static display piece?

While Bardiel's design might limit extreme articulation, a good figure should offer some poseability in the arms, legs, and neck. This allows you to capture its menacing postures and showcase its powerful attacks.

Does the figure come with any accessories, and are there different display options available?

Some Bardiel figures might include optional parts like interchangeable hands, the iconic positron rifle, or even effect pieces for its A.T. Field. Look for figures with stands or bases that offer different posing options for dynamic displays.

Considering the size, detail, and features, is the figure priced competitively compared to other Evangelion figures?

The value proposition depends on the specific figure, its manufacturer, and the available options. Compare prices across different retailers and consider your budget to ensure you're getting a good deal for the desired level of quality and features.
