Wave 1/20 Ma.k S.A.F.S Space Type 2C Super Ball

It features snap-fit construction so glue isn't needed, and it's fully posable after assembly thanks to polycaps. Maschinen Krieger (Ma.k)

Maschinen Krieger (Ma.K ZBV3000) is a science fiction universe created by Japanese artist and sculptor Kow Yokoyama in the 1980s. The franchise originally began as the science fiction series SF3D which ran as monthly installments in the Japanese hobby magazine. To develop the storyline, Kow Yokoyama collaborated with Hiroshi Ichimura as story editor and Kunitaka Imai as graphic designer. Assembly Guide

Skill Level.3. Basic modeling skills are essential. These kits are not recommended for beginners or children due to the high level of complexity of assembly and the sheer volume of parts. Experience in building more complex Gunpla models is recommended. Parental supervision is essential. A full set of hobby tools is recommended that includes, nippers, hobby knives, sandpaper, sanding sticks, files, buffing files, glues, tweezers, and decal adhesive/softener. Parts will need to be removed by using a pair of nippers and cutting the part away from the runner. Parts may require clean-up where they were removed from the runner.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are a snap together assembly and do not need plastic cement to complete. We always recommend having some plastic cement handy as a part of your modeler's tool kit. If you prefer to fix your model in a particular pose then plastic cement will work. Plastic cement is also perfect to use if a joint is loose. Apply plastic cement in a single thin layer and allow it to dry completely before test fitting. Re-apply more cement if necessary.

Gunpla (plastic model kits) are designed to be built and displayed without the need for painting. Kits are molded in different colours replicating the colours of the actual mecha from the Gundam series. A technique called colour separation, where multiple parts of the model are molded in different colours on the same sprue is also used. Gundam kits often include stickers or water-slide decals that can be applied to the model to enhance its appearance. Some Gunpla kits come with pre-painted parts or parts with pre-applied details, such as metallic or translucent finishes.

Many modelers still choose to paint their kits to customize and add further detail. Painting allows for more creativity and personalization, enabling modelers to achieve unique effects, weathering, and colour schemes that may not be available out of the box. However, the kits are designed to be enjoyable and visually appealing even without painting, making them accessible to a wide range of hobbyists.

Frequently Asked Questions

"Pnzer Spahwagen Oskar"? Sounds futuristic, what is it?

The Oskar is a unique Maschinen Krieger vehicle, a manta-inspired reconnaissance and combat craft designed for lunar operations. Imagine a sleek underwater glider that can also fly and walk on the moon's surface, packing some serious weaponry.

Is it pre-painted, or do I need to paint it myself?

This depends on the specific kit version you're considering. Some offer the early Oskar's signature black body pre-painted, while others come unpainted for full creative freedom. Choose based on your preference for convenience or customizing your lunar warrior.

Does it have cool weapons like lasers or missiles?

The Oskar packs a punch! Expect a powerful 25mm linear gun along with optional torpedo launchers depending on the kit version. This early type might also offer different close-quarters weaponry for those close lunar encounters.

How poseable is it? Can I recreate underwater maneuvers or moon landings?

The Oskar has good articulation in its body, neck, and hovering legs. You can pose it in dynamic underwater gliding stances, simulate its iconic moon-walking gait, or have it take off in fighter mode with its wings extended.

Is it easy to build compared to other Ma.K. models?

The Oskar's complexity can vary depending on the manufacturer and specific release. Some beginner-friendly options with snap-fit parts exist, while others might require glue and experience with smaller pieces. Check reviews and product descriptions for difficulty levels.
