The story follows Kira Yamato, a Coordinator, who finds himself piloting the Strike Gundam in a war between the Earth Alliance (dominated by Naturals) and the ZAFT forces (comprised mainly of Coordinators).

A sequel to SEED, it centers around Shinn Asuka, a new pilot for ZAFT, navigating the complexities of a continuing war, with Kira and other previous characters also playing significant roles.

From "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED":-

Strike Gundam: Kira's initial mobile suit, versatile with interchangeable weapon packs.

Freedom Gundam: A later suit for Kira, known for its high mobility and firepower.

Justice Gundam: Piloted by Athrun Zala, Kira's friend turned rival, notable for its advanced weaponry and flight capabilities.

Aegis Gundam: Another of Athrun's mobile suits, known for its transformative ability and assault capabilities.

From "Mobile Suit Gundam SEED Destiny":-

Destiny Gundam: Piloted by Shinn Asuka, it's equipped with versatile armaments and Wings of Light for high-speed combat.

Impulse Gundam: Another of Shinn's suits, recognized for its modular design, allowing it to adapt to various combat situations.

Infinite Justice Gundam: An upgrade for Athrun Zala, it boasts enhanced armaments and flight capabilities.

The Cosmic Era timeline is rich in character development and moral quandaries, examining the potential consequences of human genetic engineering in the vast theater of space warfare. Whilst the Seed stories where not overly popular the gunpla produced from the timeline are some of the most iconic ever produced.
